i did. i sold out. i bought into the trend. i mean, i know i've had my little iBook that amanda colton graciously sold to me at a reasonable price a few months ago; but as far as my main computer goes, i decided to switch to mac also. people ask me why i did it, and my simple response to them is: the train of the future was arriving and i wanted to make sure that i was planted in my seat with my pocketbook on my lap before the temptation arose to be that guy on the platform taking an extra 19 seconds to kiss his pc goodbye, only to have to run after the train, as the conductor leans out the side door screaming "all aboard!" in his 1920's news bulletin voice; you know, like those old movies.
i can't say i'm not scared. but i rest in comfort knowing that i'm not in this journey alone. there are millions of other americans that have said, "hey, you know, i'm also willing to pay a little bit more than i wanted to for a computer that's pretty awesome." plus, this will be great for video editing, which is something i'm really trying to get back into. so here i am, writing this on 24 inches of amazingness. and i'll continue to do so, until pc's dig themselves out of their self-defeating rut.

Liking the futuristic example. It's so blatantly obvious you're an English major! Too bad there's so many starving writers in world...it's definitely a talent not appreciated in our Western culture!
