can a brotha get a weather forcast around here?

so one thing i've noticed in this state is that it's impossible to get a simple weather forecast. for example, on weather.com, they have 1 image per day for the 10-day forecast; but since thunderstorms are bound to pop up on any given day, every day has a little picture of a thunderstorm and either the words isolated or scattered thunderstorms written under it. i wish they would just assume we all know that thunderstorms are an inherent part of florida meteorologic culture and display the picture that represents what the weather will mostly be like that day.

i finished my first crossword puzzle ever today. the puzzle itself was pretty hard, and kept my attention the entire flight yesterday, and part of today. ok i cheated a few times. i can't believe how hard those things are. it was the "in training" crossword too. how inglorious. but seriously, how am i supposed to know what a "cremona violin maker" is? i know you can piece tough clues together by getting the answers to the other ones - but then you've got ones with clues like "classic dog handle." well, is it fido or spot? in this case it was spot. i think they purposely choose clues that yield several answers with the same number of letters. its a conspiracy i tell you. it didn't help that i only had a pen too. maybe i'll have better luck next time.
